PIERRE GAUTHIER - CEO & PRESIDENT
Pierre Gauthier is the President & CEO of Auxico Resources Canada Inc. and the Founder of Central America Nickel, which holds a portfolio of critical mineral projects focused on nickel, lithium, and rare earths. With over 20 years of experience in the mining industry, he has funded the development of environmentally friendly metallurgical processes, securing multiple patents in collaboration with leading Canadian laboratories. He is the co-inventor of extraction technologies for scandium, vanadium, gold, silver, nickel, cobalt, and rare earth elements. Previously, Mr. Gauthier was the Founder, President, and CEO of Dundee Sustainable Technologies Inc. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Ottawa and an MBA from Concordia University.
BUZZ WEST - CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD
A former soldier and head of Reuters, Middle East and Africa, Mr. West has spent the last 25 years as an entrepreneur in the fields of natural resources, high technology and security. He has recently retired as the group chairman at Kingswood Holdings Ltd., the owner of KW-Wealth, having assets under management of approximately £7 billion. Highly experienced in the financial services arena, Mr. West was the founder and chairman of Ashcourt Rowan plc, which had assets under management of approximately £6 billion. Mr. West was also the chairman of the leading loss adjustor GAB Robins, taking them from management buyout to trade sale to the US group Crawford. He was the senior non-executive director to Norwegian telecom company, Norcon plc.
JOSEPH LAU - DIRECTOR
Joseph Lau holds a BSc. (Chem) from Concordia University and an MBA from University of Ottawa. Mr. Lau is the Founder and Chairman of Rockhound Limited in Hong Kong. Since his return to Hong Kong in 1994, he served in Senior Executive positions across various industries, including financial services, RE, telecom and retail jewelry. Mr. Lau is a member of the Chemical Institute of Canada and the Canadian Institute of Mining Metallurgy & Petroleum.
RICHARD BOUDREAULT - DIRECTOR
Mr. Boudreault held top corporate executive positions in organizations of all sizes in both the private, public and governmental sector. He is recognized for his Governance, Regulations and ESG issues. He has led organizations across a variety of sectors including advanced materials, natural resources and metallurgy, clean technology, and on energy (hydrocarbon and nuclear). From 2005 to 2014, Mr. Boudreault was CEO of the cleantech metallurgical process and mining Orbite Aluminae, where he raised over $140M in financing from institutional and government sources and grew the firm from start-up to publicly traded company with a valuation of $500M at exit. He has developed REE processes and specializes in heavy elements extraction, separation and purification. Mr. Boudreault holds a bachelor’s in applied physics, an MBA and a professional master’s degree in engineering, which he earned at Cornell.
DAN AMADORI - DIRECTOR
Mr. Amadori is the Founder of Lamerac Financial Corp., a firm specializing in mid-market M&A, restructuring, and corporate finance. He has completed over 125 assignments with an aggregate value of nearly $1.75 billion across industries including natural resources, manufacturing, and healthcare. He has served as CEO, CFO, and Chair of Audit and Governance Committees for several public companies in Canada and the U.S. Mr. Amadori holds a B.Comm from McGill University, an MBA from Western Business School, and holds CPA and ICD.D designations.
JULIA KASTNER - VICE PRESIDENT OPERATIONS
Julia Kastner is a senior finance and strategy executive with over a decade of experience across the mining, AI, and technology sectors. At Auxico Resources, she leads corporate strategy, investor relations, and capital planning for a portfolio of critical mineral and rare earth projects. Her previous roles include Financial Analyst at Senvest Management (US$3B assets under management), Chief Strategy Officer at HITLAB, and Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis at Halcyon Brands (Furla) overseeing cross-border operations. Julia also serves as a partner and advisor at WelSpot, an AI-powered business intelligence company. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from McGill University.
HAROLD BARBOSA - VICE PRESIDENT BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Mr. Barbosa is a resourceful professional with over 40 years of experience in international business, government relations, and corporate structuring. He has built strategic alliances across North America, the Caribbean, Latin America, China, and Africa, primarily in energy, mining, telecommunications, and commodities trading. A McGill University Executive Institute alumnus, Mr. Barbosa previously served as President & CEO of Power Alliance Commodities of Canada and held executive roles at Cabia Goldhills and Imexcom Canada. He specializes in risk management, contract negotiations, and revenue generation.
